Ali Dagher

ali-dagherAli Dagher is a principal at the firm of Dagher Goodman Dagher, PLLC, located in Dearborn, Michigan.  Ali, who graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law has practiced law since 1992.  Ali’s experience in real estate law began in 1986 when he became an associate realtor with the brokerage firm GNB Realty in Dearborn, Michigan.  His position with GNB continued for three years until graduating from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Ali’s community roots within the Arab-American and Western Wayne region have given him the opportunity to create a great book of business as an attorney.  As a founding member of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce and currently serving as First Vice Chair, Ali has built a solid reputation for being a business advocate.

The collapse of the real estate market and the justified scrutiny of underwriters for scrupulous agencies in metropolitan Detroit have caused a vacuum in the market served by the two principals.  Rachel and Ali have witnessed the growing need for an honest, ethical, and professional service-oriented title agency within the area.  The principals formed Fairlane Title Agency, LLC to fill the local needs of real estate brokers, attorneys, and local banks.

Rachel Ross

Rachel-RossRachel Ross began her professional career in real estate with the National Division of Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation in 1979 and was subsequently licensed as an attorney in Michigan in 1983.   Her career has spanned many real estate market cycles in Michigan.  Over the past thirty years she has participated in hundreds of real estate transactions including closings on some of the area’s most important commercial projects such as Three Generations Plaza which was built in Novi by John Pastor & Sons.   Her recent experience includes acting as an exclusive title agent for FNMA for insuring and sale of foreclosed properties.

Rachel is in a unique position to recruit from the local title industry because of the failure of many agents. She believes that the title industry in Michigan must be rebuilt according to the highest standards: well trained employees, utilizing the most current technology, adhering to federal and state law, providing the best service possible.

The previous failures in the title industry were almost inevitable even without the economic collapse of 2008.   Underwriters and agents must continue to strive to identify risk and institute procedures to limit risk for all the parties in a real estate transaction.  The Construction Lien Act of 1980 has been recently revised to remedy some issues, but it still may not be adequate.  This is where skill and professionalism will play an important role in the future of the real estate industry.
